Kids' Martial Arts
Greenwood, IN

Our Kids' BJJ Program goes beyond teaching self-defense; it's a supportive environment where character development is paramount. We believe that the most profound growth on the mat happens within, and our BJJ classes provide children with a unique opportunity to build discipline, confidence, and many other essential life skills.
Character Development

Character Development is at the core of our Kids' BJJ Program. It's not just about mastering the techniques on the mat; it's about shaping young minds into resilient, confident, and empowered individuals. As kids grapple with the challenges of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, they develop resilience, learning how to face and conquer obstacles with unwavering tenacity.
In BJJ, Kids learn the value of discipline, focus, and respect, which extend far beyond the training room. These skills help mold children into well-adjusted individuals who are better equipped to tackle life's challenges.

Growth Mindset
One of the most remarkable aspects of our Kids' Program is its ability to foster a Growth Mindset. This essential attribute encourages children to embrace challenges and learn from every experience. In the supportive environment of our academy, they learn that success comes through dedication and continuous improvement.
Not surprisingly, this Growth Mindset carries over into their academic endeavors, personal lives, and far beyond. The determination and adaptability they acquire during their BJJ journey become integral components of their character, ensuring they emerge from our programs not only as proficient martial artists but as resilient, self-assured, and empowered young individuals.

Cultivating Champions
At IBJJA, we foster an environment where young champions can grow and shine. Competition is an encouraged in our Kids' BJJ Program, but it's entirely optional. We believe in nurturing a love for the sport rather than pressuring our young students.
For those who enjoy competing, we provide fantastic opportunities to test their skills, learn from experiences, and build camaraderie with their peers. Unlike the intense demands of some other competitive sports, we prioritize individual choice and personal development. Our goal is to cultivate champions, not just on the mat, but in their lives beyond the academy.
Reviews

I fought in the UFC, Bellator, KSW and every other promotion in the world. There’s nobody I’d want in my corner more than James.
Been training here since I was a kid. Love the mat culture, the caliber of people, the atmosphere, and most importantly the cleanliness. The level of knowledge from James and his coaches are unparalleled.
Top notch instructors. No better place around in the local area to advance your skills or start your martial arts journey. Friendly people and staff. Safe environment.
Whether you're looking for self defense, competition training, or just a good workout, this is the place to be. It's not just a gym- it's a family. If you're in the Indy area, I highly recommend checking out Indiana Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy!
If you want a safe, fun, and challenging way to get in shape and challenge your mind then you should try out BJJ for a few weeks. The people and environment at IBJJA is very safe, fun, family friendly, and yet still serious about teaching and training top notch Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. My 9 year old son and I started going a little less than a year ago and both love the school and all the coaches.
